Many times, it is difficult for a student to maintain its financial records as they are students and they don’t have much of financial literacy for that purpose there are several ways how a student can avoid being a broke student.

1. Take advantage of free things:

A student must take advantage of free things like if the college has any clubs or societies the student can join those societies. Societies gives student an overall exposure of how you interact with people. Sometime societies also arrange dinners, events, and festivals if a student is a member of societies/clubs then they can attend dinners, events and festivals for free. For example, IEEE a leading electrical engineering society has worldwide branches in different universities and colleges those students who have its membership can attend it for free.

2. Freelancing

Another method of avoiding being a broke student is doing freelancing. Freelancing is the best source to earn money there are many platforms where student can pitch their clients and earn handsome amount of money for example, Upwork, fiverr, and freelancer are some of the famous sites. Student should be expert in a particular skillset and then they should start pitching clients from these platforms but the thing is these marketplaces are very saturated so it becomes harder for an individual to get order in the start therefore the student should remain consistent and work patiently.

3. Business

E-commerce can also be a great source of income if used wisely. Student can start their own e-commerce businesses using different social media application such as Instagram and Facebook. Girls can start their own jewelry business and boys can start providing e-commerce services such as writing, graphic designing and web development etc.

Another source of income for students can be part time jobs students can also do part time jobs. By working side by side with your studies you can work effectively and efficiently in future. Furthermore, you will gain a wide experience and industrial knowledge.
